A girlfriend of mine who recently had a baby and has put her career on hold for the last 10 months to be a 24/7 mom, mentioned in one of our heart-to-heart chats recently that as much as she adores her beautiful new baby girl, sometimes she can’t help but feel depressed about being cooped up at home all the time and devoting every single moment of her day to motherhood and nothing else.

I understand her. It must be a very shocking life change to go from busy career woman with a thriving social life to full time mom, always wearing dribbled-on clothes and walking around in a zombie-like state due to lack of sleep.
